Hub North and Kintore Primary School in Aberdeenshire have recently completed a new campus to allow for the substantial growth the primary school has seen over recent years. The Hub North Main Contractor, Morrison Construction, contracted General and Technical to supply and install floor and wall works throughout the newly built school.
General and Technical were also asked to assist in the specification of carpet tiles, vinyl, linoleum and Altro Whiterock wall panelling and worked closely with the architects to determine the most suitable products with design, functionality, durability and material standards in mind.
Impact resistant product Whiterock, by Altro, introduces a vibrant colour scheme to the school, with each room colour themed to represent the various areas and age groups. The installers at General and Technical have the trained skills necessary to install this product where it is similar to the installation of a floor vinyl with accurate cutting, applying adhesive and hot welding joins.
“Thank you and your entire staff for your efforts in making the flooring & whiterock package as painless as possible. From the initial design stage your experience was a big help to the architect. The school is looking great with 350 very happy kids. Thanks again.”
