Liam Archibald – 1st Year Apprentice of the Year.

Having committed to training 5 apprentices, General & Technical are delighted to announce that Liam Archibald has won Decorative Floorlaying 1st Year Apprentice of the Year. Liam started with General & Technical as a mature apprentice in 2015 attending City of Glasgow College. He is pictured here being presented with his award from David Bannerman, Deacon of the Incorporation of Masons of Glasgow.

“Liam came recommended to us by one of our fitters, although he was slightly older than the usual age of apprentices, he was very keen and we decided to give him a chance which he has taken very well. He has been first class in his efforts, work ethic and training whether on site with our fitters or during his time away at the college. Committing to the training of five apprentices for a business of our size is a financial burden for the first few years but critical to our future. The apprentices are the lifeblood of the industry and we feel that this recognition bodes well for the future of both Liam and General & Technical.”
