Edward Riddle, Contracts Director

I started in the industry after leaving school taking up an apprenticeship as a floor layer. Working all over Scotland for various companies for twenty years was a great professional experience before setting up GTFSL in conjunction with Scott Milne on July 1994. For twenty years we worked side by side building up a reputable and profitable business where I managed the fitters and works on the sites. When the management structure changed in 2014 I took on the role of Contracts Director responsible for the management of the floor laying teams in conjunction with Stuart.

Nickname in the office –

Ned or Baldy for obvious reasons!


Away From work what do you spend your time doing?

As a father of two and grandfather to three I spend a lot of time with the family and like the occasional game of golf. Also partial to a holiday or two!

John Morrison, Managing Director

I started in the industry at 18 years old as a trainee estimator for a national flooring company and stayed for twenty years moving on to various roles before joining the board of directors. I joined GTFSL in June 2014 as a shareholder and managing director.

I first became involved in this sector in 1991 as an estimator with Veitchi, however in 1994, I like Ed, left to become one of the founding directors of G&T.

Tommy Gaunt, Central Belt Area Manager

I joined the Flooring Industry in 1979 as a Trainee Contracts Clerk, with a national company, and progressed onto various roles including Procurement, Estimating, Sales, Business Development, Branch Manager and ultimately Director, all of which have provided me with a well rounded knowledge of the industry.
