Earlier this month General and Technical were proud to be a sponsor of VSA’s annual charity ball. Based in Aberdeen, VSA is the city’s major social care charity. VSA has grown since establishment in 1870, operating 30 locations in the city and shire including care homes, housing, activities centres, residential schools, cafes and visitor centres.

VSA’s annual balls are a long established evening held by the organisation to help raise funds, having raised over £700,000 in the past eight years. This year, the theme for the night was Alice Through The Looking Glass which was brilliantly represented throughout the venue, even down to the food presentation!

At General and Technical we felt it was important to back such a great event, worthy organisation and long standing client. We secured the host sponsorship of Dougie Vipond, known for his TV presenting and being the drummer for Deacon Blue. We also donated a signed and framed Aberdeen Football Club home top for the silent auction which raised in excess of £150.

The General and Technical table was represented by John Morrison, Eddie Riddle, Stuart Hale and Scott Willox; Mark Wilson was in attendance from our shareholders Space Solutions and Sean Flett of our key supplier CK Davie along with respective partners.

We had a fantastic evening of entertainment by party band Madhen (who famously played at Zara Philips Royal Wedding) and were very active in the silent auction bidding, winning a Tom Ford gift set, fourball at Murcar Golf Links and Aberdeen FC signed ball.

We look forward to continuing our relationship with VSA and working together on future projects.
